Tourperfect
General Questions

1-How many checkpoints, routes and observations can be created with Tourperfect?

All versions of Tourperfect allow for the creation of an unlimited number of all above elements, with the exception of the X-Lite version, allowing for a maximum of 150 checkpoints, all types combined.

2-Can a checkpoint be included in more than one route?

Yes, checkpoints can be included in more than one route.

3-Is it important that a round be carried out in sequential order?

No, it is not necessary for rounds to be made in sequential order. However, Tourperfect is capable of generating reports for checkpoints verified in sequential order or by actual time.

4-Can access to the application be controlled or restricted?

Access to the application can be controlled by creating different operators, each with its own password, as well as access level.

5-What are Tourperfect recommended system requirements?

  • Intel Pentium 2.4 Ghz processor
  • 512Mb - 1024 Mb RAM
  • 350 Mb HD space
  • Microsoft Windows XP SP2
  • Effective screen resolution 1024 x 768
  • 8x CD-ROM drive

6-Can statistical reports be created with Tourperfect?

Yes, all versions of Tourperfect can create many different statistical reports.

7-Is Tourperfect networkable?

Every versions of Tourperfect can be used in a client/server configuration, with the number of simultaneous user being dictated by the version of Tourperfect in use.

8-Is it possible to archive data in Tourperfect?

Tourperfect allows for chronological archiving of round data, as determined by the user.

9-What is Tourperfect's warranty?

10-Can other third-party readers be used with Tourperfect?

Yes, Tourperfect supports a vast number of readers, including the Symbol CS1504, The Pipe, Laser Lite Pro and PulseStar by Videx, the Proxytour, the Neo, the Rov, the Workabout Pro and many more. Please contact us for more detailed information.

11-Can I use Tourperfect if my computer does not have a legacy serial port?

Yes, Tourperfect can be used on non-legacy computers with the aid of a USB-to-serial adapter; Tourperfect does not distinguish between serial devices, or USB-to-serial adapters when communicating with supported readers.

12-What is an IP rating?

IP stands for Ingress Protection, and an IP number is used to specify an enclosure's environmental protection around electronic equipment. The IP number is composed of two numbers, the first referring to the protection against solid objects and the second against liquids. The higher the number, the better the protection.

13-What does IP64 mean?

6 - Totally protected against dust.
4 - Protected against water sprayed from all directions — limited ingress permitted.

15-What does IP67 mean?

6 - Totally protected against dust.
7 - Protected against the effect of immersion between 5.9 and 39.4" (15 cm and 1 m).
